This is written in my notes. It is beautiful, but I don't know if it was a quote or me writing excerpts from something.
We are most like God in our ability to think. Our mind, His mind, is expansive.
If I can do this for a moment, maybe God can do this to me permanently.
Hmmm. This has some deep stuff in it.

Talent and Character
"Talent is built in silence; character in the stream of the world." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Persistence
Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

Willingness - capability, availability
The Lord does not ask about
our ability or inability.
But only about our availability,
The Lord will take care of
our capability.

Deep within a man
Deep within man dwell those slumbering powers; powers that would astonish him, that he never dreamed of possessing; forces that would revolutionize his life if aroused and put into action.

Achieving success
"Most people are content to just coast along. Many really don't like to apply their talents and abilities, or to put in long hours of work. But to achieve any dream, and to make something truly remarkable happen in our lives, we must face adversity head-on. And we must overcome all of the obstacles in our pathway."

Expanding the mind
When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds; your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.

Quiet Service
"All but a prophetic few must go about God's work in very quiet, very unspectacular ways. And as you labor to know Him, and to know that He knows you; as you invest your time- and your inconvenience- in quiet, unassuming service, you will indeed find that 'his angels have charge concerning thee: and in their hands they... shall bear thee up.'"
