Transformation on the journey
"Life is a journey,
not so much a destination, but a transformation.
Looking back,
doesn't it sometimes feel our richest times come right in the midst of our
hardest moments?
God made us to live in community, to laugh and cry, to hurt and
celebrate with each other no matter what we are going through.
And transformation is tough.
We don’t always end up where we think we will.
But we have to remember, even
when we struggle to believe in Him, He always believes in us. He fills our life
with purpose and passion if we just let Him.
The best part of the journey is that the God of the universe sometimes allows us to play a part in changing the world.
Isn't that a
trip?"

$86,400
If you had a bank that credited your account each morning with $86,400 that carried over no balance from day to day, and allowed you to keep no cash in your account, and every evening cancelled whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day, what would you do? Draw out every cent, of course!
Well, you have such a bank and its name is "time." Every morning it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Each night it rules off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balances. It allows no over-drafts. Each day it opens a new account with you. Each night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits the loss is yours. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow." You must live in the present - on today's deposit.
Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!

Life and Plans
Someone quoted this on Facebook:
"We must be willing to get rid of the life we had planned in order to live the life that is waiting for us."

Life and Faith
Not sure where I heard this, but I wrote it down on a virtual post-it note:
"We need to celebrate life - not what we don't have, but what we do have...Faith is not fear, in-adequacy or being negative. If we have faith and we express it, it is a living vital force. Our lives become our expression of what we believe."

Quote - Life is too short
I'm watching Seinfeld right now and the bald guy was talking to a guy around 70 years old about dying. The guy wasn't worried about it all and was trying to enjoy life with a positive attitude.
The bald guy (what is his name?) kept harping on him about not being worried about death.
The older gentleman got up from the table and walked off all while the bald guy asked where he was going.
The older gentleman said, "Life is too short to waste on you."
Haaaa.
It is kind of like the line that I'm always saying - "There is no time for people like that."
Ahhh, good quotes from Seinfeld.

Blog Pickle - Quote - on life storms and rain
From Heidi's blog - http://floodchronicles.blogspot.com/
Quote of the Week
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Blog Pickle - Quote on the life journey
Here's a quote a read on a persons Facebook page and I liked it so much it was time to honor it by making it a blog pickle.
"LIFE IS NOT A JOURNEY TO THE GRAVE WITH THE INTENTION OF ARRIVING SAFELY IN A PRETTY AND WELL PRESERVED BODY, BUT RATHER TO SKID IN BROADSIDE, THOROUGHLY USED UP, TOTALLY WORN OUT, AND LOUDLY PROCLAIMING----WOW----WHAT A RIDE!!!"
