Transformation on the journey
"Life is a journey,
not so much a destination, but a transformation.
Looking back,
doesn't it sometimes feel our richest times come right in the midst of our
hardest moments?
God made us to live in community, to laugh and cry, to hurt and
celebrate with each other no matter what we are going through.
And transformation is tough.
We don’t always end up where we think we will.
But we have to remember, even
when we struggle to believe in Him, He always believes in us. He fills our life
with purpose and passion if we just let Him.
The best part of the journey is that the God of the universe sometimes allows us to play a part in changing the world.
Isn't that a
trip?"

Imagine yourself as a living house - C.S. Lewis
“Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.”

Desire to follow
"...when Jesus Christ becomes a reality in your life, it isn't that He somehow makes you do things that you wouldn't do otherwise. Rather, you find yourself wanting to do what He would do and respond as He would respond in an effort to bring your life into harmony with His. And an interesting thing happens whenever you attempt to place your feet in Christ's footsteps. If you really concentrate on trying to walk the way He walked -- loving, caring, serving, and obeying each step of the way ---one day you'll look up and discover that His path has led you directly to the throne of God. For that is and ever has been His great purpose and mission; to lead us to our Heavenly Father so we can dwell with Him in His heavenly home."

The Touch of the Master's Hand
"Those who have felt the touch of the Master's hand somehow cannot explain the change which comes into their lives. There is a desire to live better, to serve faithfully, to walk humbly, and to be more like the Savior. Having received their spiritual eyesight and glimpsed the promises of eternity, they echo the words of the blind man to whom Jesus restored sight: One thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see."

Happy and unhappy
"Then it hit me -- being unhappy was something I'd been doing, and when I stopped doing it, I reverted to my natural state, which is happy."

It can be replaced
At work the other day we were talking about a new system and in response to someone asking if the system would replace another system, I started to say - " It isn't going to replace it" and halfway through the sentence I realized that all things are possible and so the entire statement ended up being -
A little bit Yogi Berra, but true. There are so many things in life that get replaced that we never thought possible.
Here's to innovation, possibilities, change, etc.
"It isn't going to replace it, unless...it does."
