Strengthen my Hands
Prayer for today:
If there is any Good in the Work my hands have found to do, Lord, please overlook my many Weaknesses, and Establish and magnify that Good for a Higher purpose, for it came from Thee. May Thou also strengthen my Hands to continue to have power to do the Work.

Be kind anyway
“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”

Self-Discipline - 5 Steps to taking action
Bruce A. Carlson speech - 3/16/14
- Acceptance
- Willpower
- Hard Work
- Industry
- Persistence
- Acceptance - where do we stand right now? Our new starting point.
- Willpower - learn what I can and cannot do. This is the spearhead of self-discipline. It is like the airplane afterburner. It is your ability to set a course and stay engaged. It isn't for a sustained period, but it is what helps in a pinch.
- Hard Work - get work that challenges you. The fewer people willing to do it, the more opportunity. The big secret is that there is no big secret.
- Industry - putting in the time. Don't need to be creative about it. Do the difficult work and where it is needed.
- Persistent - sustained action regardless of feelings. Action - creates results - motivation.
The miracle of forgiveness - self- abandonment. Master yourself and you shall be king.
Try and Try again.
Social Sciences share that those that have more self-control are happier.

Good Timber
"Good timber does not grow with ease, the stronger the wind, the stronger the trees.
The further the sky, the greater the length. The more the storm, the more the strength.
By sun and cold, by rain and snow, in trees and men good timbers grow."

Selfies
The word of the year was "selfies."
It shows the narcissism of some in using social media.
We lose focus on things that matter most - focus on others.
Being self-abosrbed stunts personal spiritual growth.
Service increases the opportunity for personal revelation.
Focus on self impedes revelation.

Morality in our Actions
"The most important human endeavor is striving for morality in our actions. Our inner balance and even our very existence depends on it. Only morality in our actions can give beauty and dignity to our lives. To make this a living force and bring it to clear consciousness is perhaps the foremost task of education." Albert Einstein

You are a vessel, not the source
This
is so because it informs one first of ones true relationship to others, and to one's
Maker, and frees one of pride, which is the great stumbling block, and in so
doing, properly aligns one to tap from a power source that is infinitely higher
and more powerful than self.
